Your Wedding Guests Deserve a Photo Booth

We all know that weddings are an expensive endeavor. From venues, to photographers, to custom cakes and beyond, you can find yourself spending tens of thousands of dollars on the big day. The good news is, it’s almost always worth it because your wedding day is by far one of the most important and memorable days not just for you but for everyone who loves you and is there to celebrate this day with you.

Some of your guests will travel far to be there on your special day, many will take days off from work, maybe even sacrificing their own vacation to celebrate you. They will buy you gifts from your registry, rent expensive hotel rooms and buy new outfits to look up to par next to the beautiful couple.

No doubt, you want to show your gratitude to your guests because you love them back, too. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to do so. You can hire a band or DJ to ensure your guests dance all night, you may splurge on wedding favors for your guests to take home, you will probably have goody bags for them in their hotel rooms.

While these are all great, there is one thing everyone agrees to be the best crowd-pleaser and that is a photo booth. “The only two pictures I have on my fridge right now are from two wedding photo booths,” says Laura from South Philly, “I also went to a wedding last month and they didn’t have a photo booth, and it’s like, it didn’t even happen.”

It’s true. Photo booths, especially the new-age, open-air Mirror photo booths like The Yellow Mirror, are one of the best ways to show your guests how much you appreciate them being there for you on your special day. “We’ve even seen brides opt-out of traditional wedding favors, like coasters or bottle openers, in favor of photo booths” says Sofya Piro, the owner and operator of The Yellow Mirror, “and in our professional opinion, it’s the way to go. Unlike a bottle opener which, admit it, will likely end up at a Goodwill in a month or two, a personalized photo booth picture is something your guests will keep on their fridge until they run out of room or buy a new fridge."

You may wonder what’s so special about photo booth photos compared to, for example, professional photographer photos or just guests’ cell phone pictures. The truth is, photo booths are people magnets. They draw people in, help them loosen up and show their playful side, they break the ice between otherwise unfamiliar guests and overall make the party that much more fun and memorable. Not to mention your guests will take home actual, physical photo prints which have become such a rarity today that it makes them that much more desirable.

Your wedding day is undoubtedly one of the most important days in your life, and while there are many things that define a successful wedding, your guests mostly don’t notice those things. What they do notice and remember is how much fun they had, and modern photo booths like The Yellow Mirror make that a certainty.
